To be a butterfly - a nature poem

To be a butterfly

Of all the creatures I would like to be,
The butterfly is the one for me.
For she has metamorphasized,
And used the experiences of her life.

Understanding is her inner truth,
Breaking free from a cocoon,
She made it through.

To her joy and her surprise,
With delicate wings of unique design,
She was able to arise.
And now it is,
She flutters by.

With nothing to prove,
She is simply free,
Gentle, non-violence, her serenity,
Embracing she does,
Her destiny.

Living on nectar and sweetness of flowers,
Bliss is the key,
She could do it for hours.

She is strong yet gentle and ever so light,
She knows true pain and she knows delight.

She is capable, ethereal, earthly and soft,
She is butterfly.

Don't pin her down,
Look at all she's got.
